DuPage County Family Law Attorney Angel Traub Earns Parenting Coordinator Certification
A recent Illinois Supreme Court ruling has empowered the Illinois judicial circuit to name trusted mental health or family law professionals as “parenting coordinators.” A. Traub & Associates is honored to announce that firm owner Angel Traub has earned this comprehensive certification.
Attorney Traub is already skilled in family law mediation and collaborative law, as well as a skilled Guardian ad Litem and Child’s Representative. She will now be offering her services to parents involved in family court cases who need to settle minor disputes or enforcement issues. Under the new parenting coordinator model, parents may be able to resolve their issues quickly and without court intervention and lengthy litigation. Attorney Traub looks forward to helping parents in conflict find fair and reasonable solutions for the issues that may arise during co-parenting after a divorce or separation.
Parenting coordinators may be tasked with resolving minor issues between parents that are creating conflict in a case concerning children. The new rule defines parenting coordination as an alternative dispute resolution process designed to help parents work together to make parenting decisions as well as to enforce court orders that address child custody or other child-related issues. Parenting coordination is available to most parents, regardless of marital status either by agreement of the parents or by a court order.
