April 2014 - Lombard Law Firm Hires Experienced Criminal Attorney
Lombard law firm A. Traub & Associates is pleased to announce the addition of criminal defense and family law attorney Margaret M. O'Connell to the team. O’Connell brings a wide array of legal experience to the firm.
O’Connell focuses her practice on criminal defense, family law, traffic and expungement law. She is also a Guardian ad litem for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. Prior to joining A. Traub & Associates, O’Connell worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in DuPage County. During this time she prosecuted cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, felony crimes and misdemeanors. Additionally, O’Connell spent time as Senior Assistant Attorney General, where she prosecuted cases in the Criminal Trials Assistance Bureau throughout Illinois.

On January 13, 2014, A. Traub and Associates relocated their office space from downtown Lombard into an office building located at 100 West 22nd Street, Suite 150 Lombard, IL. The law firm represents numerous children with their Guardian Ad Litem work. "We are most excited about providing special amenities through our children’s meeting room," said senior attorney Chantelle Porter. The children’s room will be kid friendly and welcoming in design with playful colors and children sized tables and chairs. Principal Angel Traub added, "It allows us to meet with the children we represent on their level; making them feel more comfortable in tough situations is our goal."

July 2013 - Lombard Family Lawyer Chantelle Porter Named 30th President of DuPage Association of Women Lawyers
Attorney Chantelle Porter, senior associate at A. Traub & Associates, was recognized at the June DuPage Association of Women Lawyers (DAWL) annual installation banquet. Elected base on her leadership abilities, advocacy, and professionalism, Ms. Porter precedes her new position as president serving as a DAWL Board of Directors member third, second, and first vice president.
In 2008, Porter was hired by Angel Traub as an associate attorney for A. Traub & Associates. Traub’s former DAWL presidency and passion for the organization drew Porter to become an active member.
